The Oil Cleansing Method - Weird!
|
The Oil Cleansing Method is an alternative way to wash the face using only oils. it is especially good at clearing problems skin and preventing skin breakouts. It gives a deep cleanse removing oil from pores. It also incorporates anti-aging oils for the face.
The formula is made from a mixture of "drawing" oils and moisturising oils. The drawing oils draw the dirt and oil from the pores helping to prevent breakouts. The other oils are high in anti-oxidants and help keep the skin in very good condition. These oils are also known for their anti-aging properties.
Oils like Jojoba aren't cheap and we use a lot of it in our cleanser as it is the best non clogging moisturizing oil there is. And only a small amount is needed for each wash so the cleanser lasts.
It will feel different at first. The cleanser is an oil, not foamy nor a cream. We make four different blends for different skin types.
The Oil Cleansing Method is packaged in a brushed aluminum bottle lined inside to prevent interaction between the container and the oils.
|
Also Remember our Milk Wash For the Face: Our Milk Wash uses a Glucose based cleanser that was originally designed for high end face washes and baby wipes. We thought why should only the face have the most gentle cleansers? So when we forumated our Milk Wash, we used these gentlest cleansers. Our Milk Wash is a more gentle face wash than almost any other on the market and incorporates moisturising protein and esters, but can still be used all over.
For a deeper cleanser, especially for acne prone skin or for makeup removal, try the Oil Cleansing Method. |
Enjoy!

The oil cleanser is packaged in a 100ml aluminum container with pump. |
Essential Oils
Because the essential oils are massaged into the skin, they have time to work. We have selected just a few of the best essential oils for each skin type and added them in generous quantities. We have never believed in adding as many essential oils or extracts as possible simply for label effect.
The essential oils were chosen for their effectiveness rather than their fragrance.
Oils

Jojoba Oil

|
Jojoba oil is the golden child of moisturizers. Jojoba is actually a liquid wax, not an oil. It comes from the Jojoba bean and its "oil" most closely resembles human sebum (our own skin's oil that's produced in youth). The bodily readily absorbs it and few have negative reactions to jojoba. Jojoba does not block pores. It is a very high quality oil requiring approximately 29 000 beans to make one litre of the oil. Unlike greasy occlusive materials such as petrolatum, mineral oils and some lanolin products, jojoba oil provides an absolutely non-tacky, non-oily and non-greasy, dry softening to the skin. |

Rice BranOil
|
For a long time, there has been a tradition in Japan that women rub rice bran in or put rice bran oil on their face to keep their skin smooth. These women, having smooth and shiny skin, are called "Nuka-Bijin" ("Bran Beauty" in English). It is a tradition and people don't know the real reason why rice bran or rice bran oil is effective in keeping skin smooth but it is thought that it relates to the functions of minor components of the Rice Bran Oil. |
|
Avocado Oil
|
Avocado Oil penetrates the skin more deeply than other plant oils (e.g. lanolin, olive, almond or soya-bean oils). Therefore it's an ideal base for transdermal treatments, and a natural carrier for added supplements to reach the deepest target areas. A research paper by Valette and Sorbin reported on the skin-penetrating properties of a number of oils. Of the oils tested, which included corn, soybean, almond and olive oils, avocado oil had the highest rate of skin penetration and the ability to transport active substances through the outer epidermis of the skin and into the dermis for increased effectiveness.
Avocado oil is renowned for its healing, anti-bacterial, and anti-wrinkle properties. It stimulates the collagen metabolism retarding visible signs of aging and remarkably softening the skin. |
Grapeseed Oil
|
In all products grape seed oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for damaged and stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow a better control of skin moisturization. It is noted to be especially effective for repair of the skin around the eyes. |
Castor Oil
|
Cold Pressed from the Castor Bean bush. Castor oil is unsurpassed in terms of skin repair. As the naturopath said; "What Castor Oil won't help isn't worth talking about." Castor oil is a triglyceride of fatty acids. Almost 90 percent of its fatty acid content consists of ricinoleic acid which can be very beneficial in keeping the skin healthy. Castor Oil packs against the skin are suggested for all sorts of ailments. Our cleanser ensures castor oil is present to help the skin of the face stay healthy and blemish free. |
